This role oversees the entire outgoing payment process, ensuring vendors and suppliers are paid accurately and on time. This person will ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of recording expenses, including ensuring accounting systems are in control and will take the necessary steps to minimize risk to the organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains the payables ledger and all related accounts with proper documentation and records of all company expenses; reviews payables for accuracy prior to payment; Ensures timely processing of invoices and payments.Manages and supervises the accounts payable team providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure efficient and accurate processing of invoices.Provide support and guidance on accounts payable policies and procedures.Review and approve invoice coding to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment discrepancies and improve workflow.Collaborate with other departments to support overall financial objectives and initiatives.Implement new technologies and systems to streamline payment workflows.Assists the Controller in coordinating the year-end financial audit and preparing schedules and documents for independent (third-party) auditors.Must be able to meet tight deadlines while ensuring reporting is accurate.Ad Hoc reporting each monthPerform other Accounts Payable duties, as required, or requested by the Controller.Promotes safety and security practices at Miller, as per the Employee Handbook.Other duties may be assigned. QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
