Utility Porter - Housekeeping

POSITION SUMMARY:It is the primary responsibility of the UTILITY PORTER to maintain the cleanliness of the property, both indoors and outdoors. This includes working in high areas, caring for the floors, and operating heavy equipment. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Extraction and Spotting of carpets using proper techniques and equipmentHigh dusts tops of ceiling vents and wall decorations using proper equipmentApplies floor finish on proper surfaces using approve products and techniquesPressure washes outdoor surfaces using approved equipment and techniquesUse of various machines included but not limited to carpet extractors, scrubbers (ride-on and walk-behind), burnishers, floor machines, lifts, wet/dry vacs, spotting machinesOperates hand trucks and flatbed carts to move equipment to assigned work areasUses proper techniques and equipment when moving heavy furniture to clean the area underneathRemoves all rubbish from trash containers and transports to proper disposalProperly uses and disposes of chemicals when conducting area cleaningConducts bio-hazard clean-upMoves furnitureAbility to complete all Casino Porter assignments and stationsAbility to complete all Houseperson assignments and stationsAbility to work indoors in all environments including smoke and dust and ability to work outdoors in all environments including heat and cold and weatherBe able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds and pull carts/hampers weighing up to 300 poundsMust be able to communicate in English in both oral and written formPerforms other duties as assignedThis job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee in this position.
