Early Academy Morning Assistant TeacherJob DescriptionThe Early Academy (EA) Morning Assistant Teacher position is an hourly position that reports to the Director of Early Academy. The Morning Assistant Teacher is a highly organized, disciplined, and self-starting individual who is responsible for direct supervision of scholars ranging from 2-5 years of age who will attend EA. They may assist in any program/classroom as an assistant or substitute. Overview Position: part-time Work Schedule: 7:00am-12:00pm Hourly Rate: $14.00 per hour Specific tasks required of this role include, but are not limited to, the following: Model and support students in developing virtuous character Support the school's mission through fidelity to policies and practices Teach and oversee daily activities for age group assigned Help create a safe and positive learning environment Enforce classroom management and routines Actively monitor all activities Complete any tasks required to keep the classroom and instruction running smoothly and efficiently. This may include but is not limited to such tasks as making copies, sharpening pencils, changing bulletin boards, filing student papers, classroom and outdoor organization and cleaning, lesson preparation, toy and supply inventory Ensure and maintain a clean and safe learning environment for scholars MAY PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED DISCLAIMER The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
