Production Technician- Kitting (Temp Contractor)

10x Genomics is looking for a Production Technician to join its consumable manufacturing team. In this role, the individual will be responsible for 10x consumables product - handling of automated equipment and manual packaging of finished goods. This individual will also work with the manufacturing engineering team on the maintenance and simple troubleshooting of some of the manufacturing equipment. This position may require extended periods of sitting or standing and extensive work using laboratory and packaging equipment.This will be a temp/contract position in the 10x manufacturing team. Individuals applying to this position should have a basic understanding of good manufacturing practices. This individual must be a self-starter, quick learner and detail oriented, work well in a team atmosphere, have good communication skills, ability to adapt and thrive in working at a fast-paced environment.What you will be doing:Execute production operations according to defined procedures and ensure the integrity and quality of our productsAbility to operate and maintain laboratory to clean room standards required in the production of Life Science productsProcess work orders accurately using an ERP system in a timely mannerMaintenance of production batch records and good documentation under ISO requirementAccurate tracking of production data, test data and inventoryAssembly of 10x consumables and finished goods both manually and using semi-automated packaging equipmentAbility to set up and operate packaging equipment and handle simple troubleshootingPerform preventive maintenance on some lab equipmentProvide feedback to improve process quality and efficiencyIdentify issues occurring in production labs and escalate issues to supervisor's or MSE's attentionMinimum Requirements:High school education / Associate Degree or aboveStrong team player and detail orientedGood communication skillsAbility to read and understand SOPs and equipment user manualAbility to enter data into electronic tracking systems like ExcelAbility to multi-task and prioritize work load to meet strict deadlines under supervisionGood documentation skills and ability to write procedures and reportsDesire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization and taking products and processes to the next levelAbility to lift up to 15 pounds and potentially stand or sit for up to 3 hour incrementsPreferred Skills and Experience:Experience in automation and packaging of Life Science products, Food Packaging products or related field preferredRelevant experience in a production environment working with standard production control tools - ERP, inventory control, and work ordersExperience training employees on production processes defined in production batch records and work instructionsExperience writing and revising work instructions and production batch recordsExperienced in communicating and collaborating with production departments#LI-MH1 #on-siteBelow is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package.
