What to Expect Tesla Energy Products bring battery and solar to the grid and is enabling the transformation of the world's energy infrastructure, products such as Megapack and V4 Supercharger.  As part of the Wiring Harness Design team, you will design, package, and manufacture world class, integrated wiring systems that enable that transformation. Our team is composed of individuals who are fast-moving, self-motivated, resilient, team players, and love to solve difficult problems.  If this sounds like you, then our team could the right place for you. What You'll Do * Rapidly gather requirements, design and modify detailed harness schematics to integrate a variety of electromechanical components and control units * Harness component selection and validation for prototype applications * Document build instructions for complex Industrial wire harnesses * Troubleshoot and quality check harnesses in the fabrication, assembly and bring up stages of pre and post production builds * Support the bring up and debug process of industrial equipment throughout its lifecycle What You'll Bring * Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience * 1+ years of experience in Wiring Harness design * Hands-on experience designing and building electro-mechanical systems and harnesses * Solid engineering fundamentals: DC/AC circuit analysis, analog and digital signal processing, communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), LV / HV systems * Understand vehicle-level systems engineering including communications, functionality trade-offs, grounding, creepage and clearance, EMC strategies * Expertise with 3D CAD and PLM software (CATIA preferred) * Proven expertise with 2D drawing creation software * Familiarity with, and working knowledge of, mechanical systems: thermal, heat dissipation, vibration, strength, durability, corrosion-prevention Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: * Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction * Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits * Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution * Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA * Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) * 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits * Company paid Basic Life, AD&D * Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) * Employee Assistance Program * Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays * Back-up childcare and parenting support resources * Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance * Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs * Tesla Babies program * Commuter benefits * Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $100,000 - $348,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
