Our commitment to patient care is also investing in our employees through ongoing continuing education and training.POSITION SUMMARY:The Director of Project Management (Non-Technology) is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of cross-functional, non-technology initiatives across AVPSEES. Reporting to the CFO, this role drives operational excellence by ensuring strategic projects-spanning finance, operations, compliance, and business transformation-are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned to organizational priorities.This role will also be instrumental in establishing and maturing a Project Management Office (PMO) capability, including governance, standards, and portfolio oversight. While initially operating as a senior individual contributor, the Director will lay the foundation for scalable project delivery infrastructure. The position requires strong executive presence and the ability to engage with senior leadership and, as needed, support materials and interactions for Board-level visibility.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead a portfolio of enterprise-wide, non-technology projects from initiation through execution and closeoutPartner with the CFO and executive leadership to prioritize and align projects to strategic objectivesEstablish and implement PMO frameworks, governance structures, and project management standards across the organizationDevelop and manage a centralized project portfolio view, including prioritization, dependencies, and resource allocationDefine and track portfolio-level KPIs, including financial impact, timelines, and risk exposureBuild foundational PMO capabilities, including templates, reporting cadences, intake processes, and stage-gate controlsServe as a senior individual contributor, directly managing high-priority and high-visibility initiativesIdentify risks, dependencies, and constraints; proactively implement mitigation strategiesProvide regular, concise reporting to executive leadership, including the CFO, on project status and outcomesPrepare materials and support executive and Board-level reporting, including summaries of key initiatives, risks, and progress against strategic prioritiesDrive cross-functional collaboration across departments including Finance, Operations, Compliance, and HREnsure effective management and communication strategies are in place for impacted stakeholdersOversee resource planning and capacity management across initiatives (informally, without direct authority as needed)Influence stakeholders and drive accountability in a matrixed environment without direct reporting linesContinuously improve project delivery processes, tools, and methodologies to support future PMO scaleREQUIREMENTS:EducationBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field requiredMaster's degree (MBA or related discipline) preferredProject Management certification (PMP or equivalent) preferredExperience 8-10 years of progressive experience in project or program management, preferably within private equity healthcare and/or complex, matrixed organizationsDemonstrated experience building or maturing PMO functions, frameworks, or governance modelsExperience managing enterprise-level, cross-functional initiatives outside of IT/technologyExperience working closely with executive leadership, including CFO-level stakeholders Exposure to Board-level reporting or executive committee materials preferred Proven track record of delivering projects with measurable business impact (e.g., cost savings, process improvement, operational efficiencyKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Strong understanding of project and program management methodologies and PMO best practicesKnowledge of portfolio management, prioritization frameworks, and governance modelsSolid understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and cost managementFamiliarity with organizational change management frameworksUnderstanding of executive and Board-level reporting expectationsExceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAdvanced planning, organization, and prioritization skillsAbility to synthesize complex information into clear, concise executive-level insightsStrong presentation skills, including development of materials for senior leadership and Board audiences Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project) and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to Influence without direct authority in a matrixed environmentAbility to operate at both strategic and tactical levels simultaneouslyAbility to manage multiple high-priority initiatives under tight deadlinesAbility to anticipate risks and proactively drive resolution Ability to lead through ambiguity and organizational changeAbility to build structure and processes from the ground up while delivering against immediate prioritiesPHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:Exerting up to twenty-five pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.Repetitive motion.
