Today, the chefs of Upper Crust Food Service prepare tens of thousands of meals weekly for students across the country.About The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Utility team member to join our Operations Department. This full-time position plays a vital role in ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently and maintains the highest cleanliness standards. If you take pride in contributing to a seamless kitchen environment and enjoy working in a fast-paced setting, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll DoMaintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils, surfaces, and areas.Assist with dishwashing, including pots, pans, and other kitchen tools.Follow proper food handling and storage practices in compliance with health and safety standards.Dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables in a responsible and timely manner.Support kitchen staff during peak hours by assisting with basic food prep as needed.Restock kitchen supplies and ingredients to ensure availability for daily operations.Conduct regular maintenance of dishwashing equipment and report any issues that require repair.Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.QualificationsPrevious experience in a kitchen, cleaning, or utility role is a plus, but not required.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of cleanliness.Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods.Familiarity with basic kitchen safety and hygiene standards.Strong work ethic and the ability to work well independently or as part of a team.Effective communication skills in English.Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
