SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Specialist II to support the coordination, documentation, and execution of logistics operations across a dynamic environment. This role is responsible for managing inventory records, coordinating shipping activities, and ensuring compliance with all applicable state, federal, and international regulations.The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in inventory control, shipping logistics, and supply chain operations-preferably within aerospace, defense, or government environments.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and maintain logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and technical manualsCoordinate and execute shipping activities in compliance with domestic and international regulations, including import/export requirementsTrack, manage, and maintain records of equipment, components, repair parts, and associated documentationMonitor inventory levels and support proper allocation and storage of materials across facilitiesUtilize inventory and shipping databases to ensure accurate tracking and reportingSupport handling, inspection, and transportation of hazardous materials in accordance with safety guidelinesAssist with logistics planning and coordination to support operational and program needsOperate or support operation of equipment and machinery, including forklifts (if certified)RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED with 2+ years of relevant logistics, inventory, or supply chain experience (Higher education may substitute for experience)Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and ExcelWorking knowledge of inventory management and supply chain principlesExperience with inventory databases or tracking systemsPreferred QualificationsExperience with aviation maintenance tracking systems (e.g., AvPro or similar)HazMat certification or trainingForklift operation experienceFamiliarity with shipping systems such as FedEx, DHL, or UPSCommercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving recordUnderstanding of shelf-life management for materialsBackground supporting Aerospace & Defense, Department of Defense, or military logistics operationsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsFrequently required to stand, walk, sit, and perform repetitive hand and arm motionsAbility to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularlyOccasional exposure to outdoor conditions and varying temperaturesMay be exposed to loud environments or hazardous materials in controlled settingsSafety-Sensitive RoleThis position is designated as safety-sensitive and may involve:Handling or transporting hazardous or explosive materialsInspecting equipment, structures, or vehiclesSupporting aviation-related operationsOperating or supervising heavy or specialized equipment
