Sales Engineering Intern - Summer 2026Motor City Wash Works is seeking a Sales Engineering Intern to support the sales, engineering, and operations teams during a 12-week summer internship. This role is intended for Industrial Engineering students interested in manufacturing, engineered systems, and technical sales. Interns are treated as junior professionals and expected to contribute meaningfully to real business initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Configure One development, quoting, and system configurationAssist with MCWW equipment sizer reviews and provide technical support to sales teamsProcess equipment orders, SaaS contracts, and ensure accurate documentationDevelop, document, and improve internal processesSupport marketing and sales efforts, including development of product battlecardsParticipate in cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, Technical Support, and SalesLearning & Development OpportunitiesShadow and assist the real estate development CAD teamObserve and support customer-facing software demonstrationsParticipate in engineering product development discussionsGain exposure to post-sale technical support processesHands-on operational learning at manufacturing facilities and car wash locationsAssist with Wash Works University training coursesQualificationsPursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering or a related disciplineStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsInterest in technical sales, manufacturing, and engineered systemsAbility to work cross-functionally and communicate effectivelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft ExcelCapstone & Program ConclusionAt the conclusion of the internship, the Sales Engineering Intern will deliver a formal capstone presentation to MCWW leadership outlining the business problem addressed, analysis performed, work completed, key learnings, and recommendations or implemented solutions. Performance and organizational fit will be evaluated to determine potential future employment opportunities.
