In addition to an online store, Rexel USA has a distribution network of over 460 warehouse storefront locations throughout the U.S.Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Senior Quotations Specialist to join our Rexel team in Houston, TX!Summary:The Senior Quotations Specialist is responsible for establishing relationships with customers and vendors to secure pricing positions for bids. Responsible for reviewing bid packages, formulating project quotations, and providing product knowledge.What You'll Do:Quote moderate to high profile/complex projects that require a high level of product knowledgeReview bid package and all the requirements surrounding the package including technical requirements, approved manufacturers list, commercial requirements, project drawings, and documentation requirementsFormat customer request into a standardized spreadsheet for bid reviewBreak down bid package and issue Request for Quotation (RFQ) to vendors for project quotation levels while communicating deadline, project information, and any additional pertinent information availableReceive pricing and put a bid tabulation together for reviewPrepare and submit final proposal with all required documentationNegotiate pricing with supplier and offer substitute products where appropriateParticipate in product meetings, seminars, and training schools to enhance and maintain personal product knowledgeMeet with team to discuss vendor strategy and margin levelsGather and track feedback to be used to identify areas where pricing or markup need to be adjusted for future successful bidsEstablish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliersIn addition to processing bids, increase business by utilizing company digital tools to sell, promote, or demonstrate product knowledge to new and existing customersPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh School or GED - RequiredAbility to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlinesStrong organizational skillsExcellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to drive decisions with influenceProduct and application knowledge essentialAbility to assist in project design without rep/manufacturing assistanceAbility to identify, read, and review project drawings (one-lines, gear and lighting schedules, and layouts.)Customer oriented and motivated with excellent communication, customer service, time management, and problem-solving skillsIntermediate to advanced computer skills, specifically with Excel/Outlook/Word, /PDF editor (Blue Beam or Adobe) quote tool, and design softwareAbility to establish good relationships and credibility with project stakeholdersAbility to collaborate at all levels; including senior decision makers with customer and vendorsMust possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be self-motivated and enthusiastic about businessWillingness to drive team growth through mentoring and coaching on product knowledge, process, and relationshipsAdditional InformationPhysical Demands:Sit: Must be able to remain in a stationary position - Constantly - at least 51%Walk: Must be able to move about inside/outside office or work location - Frequently - 21% to 50%Use hands to finger, handle, or feel: Operates a computer and other office machinery - Constantly - at least 51%Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: Must be able to crouch down to stock shelves, pick up boxes, or position oneself to maintain computers in the lab/under desks/in server closet - Occasionally - up to 20%Climb or balance: Must be able to ascend/descend on a ladder, forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse equipment - Occasionally - up to 20%Talk, hear, taste, smell: Must be able to use senses to effectively communicate with co-workers and clients and detect hazardous conditions - Constantly - at least 51%Weight and Force Demands:Up to 10 pounds - Occasionally - up to 20%Up to 25 pounds - NoneUp to 50 pounds - NoneWorking Environment:Exposed to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and/or exposure to heat and cold - Occasionally - up to 20%Exposed to electrical hazards; risk of electrical shock - NoneHandles or works with potentially dangerous equipment - NoneTravels to offsite locations - Occasionally - up to 20%Disclaimer:"Rexel USA (A VEVRAA Federal Contractor), and its affiliated companies, is an EEO/Disabled/Veterans employer.
