Field Service Engineer II

SUMMARY: The Field Service Engineer II will be responsible for visiting customer sites to install, troubleshoot and maintain equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Install, troubleshoot and repair flow cytometers and Cytek Upgrade products with proficiency in a timely mannerWork professionally and courteously as an individual with Cytek's customers in continuous support of Cytek's reputation of service excellenceIdentify customer needs and contribute to improvements in Cytek productsManage the daily schedule to ensure appropriate priority is placed upon urgent customer needs while setting customer expectations for issues of less urgencyCustomer Management through telephone technical support, service visit scheduling, product problem information gathering, fault isolation, corrective action, and site visit closure with high quality and efficiencyDemonstrate job proficiency via field performance reviews, written, oral, and practical examinations, or other applicable means that demonstrate knowledge and proficiency commensurate with the positionAbility to mentor entry-level Field Service Engineers technically per manager's request Complete all business-related transactions to include Field Service Reports, Instrument Qualification Reports, Parts Return Tags, and Travel Expenses in a timely manner with high accuracyManage personal Service spare parts inventory to ensure accuracy and currency on a regular basisOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or technical Military service preferred4-year Previous experience in Flow Cytometry in a lab setting is a plus, but not requiredTwo or more years of equivalent experience in flow cytometry field service/application support or transitional service field Work experience with the repair or service of electrical or mechanical equipment is preferredAbility to learn new technologies quickly and skills in troubleshooting intra-connected complex systems is essentialFamiliar with the Microsoft Office suite of programsPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
