**Description:** ## Job Description We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic Machining Operations Center/Manufacturing Engineering Team/. As part of this collaborative team, you will contribute to the creation and continuous improvement of special processes and small parts assembly for ultraprecision machined components/. Your work will involve driving technology and automation into these operations/. ## What You Will Be Doing As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the Machining Operations Center /(MOC/) within the Missiles and Fire Control /(MFC/) facility located in Orlando, FL/. The MOC specializes in producing ultra‑precision machined components that are the foundation of infrared and electro‑optical targeting systems used primarily for defense applications/. + Collaborate with other Manufacturing Engineers, Industrial Engineers, Quality Engineers, and Production stakeholders/. + Create/modify detailed work instructions and other shop‑floor documentation to support production needs/. + Create fixture and tooling concepts and drawings/. + Provide shop‑floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues/. + Investigate and perform Root Cause analysis of component non‑conformances and ensure implementation of effective Corrective Action/. + Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs/. + Perform other duties as assigned/. + Willingness to learn and receive training, and when required, train others/. ## Why Join Us This role is a unique opportunity to work on first‑production machined components along with long‑standing production components/. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access/.** **Basic Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related discipline/. - Basic understanding of CAD software such as Siemens NX, CREO, Pro Engineer, or Solidworks - The candidate must be a US citizen/. **Desired Skills:** - Experience with small parts assembly operation including precision pin installation, rivet install, helicoils, etc/. - Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing /(GD&T/) interpretation skills/. - Experience working with Mil/-Spec special processes /(heat treatment, chem/-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc/./)/. - Experience with paint application and masking processes for components and assemblies/. - Knowledge of precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment/. - Experience with automation solutions/. - Experience with chemistry including execution of titrations/. - Experience with 3D Printing/. - Experience utilizing CREO or NX for CAD - Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications/. **Clearance Level:** None **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match/. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed/.
