Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader

Job DescriptionJob PurposeThe Landscape Enhancement Crew Leader is a hands-on position in charge of managing the day-to-day operations of all contracted work to be performed on an assigned jobsite. Areas of supervision include landscape installation, irrigation system installation, management of subcontractors and performing certain planning, administrative and regulatory functions. The site supervisor will read job plans and specifications and install jobs consistent with those specifications and Bland Landscaping Company criteria.ResponsibilitiesIncluded but Not Limited to the following:Supervise and train installation crews on all aspects of installation services including promoting safety.Execute the contracted scope of installation projects.Read and execute job plans per specification for the contracted scope.Install plantings, lawns, irrigation, and hardscapes.Digging, tilling, planting, raking, watering, and clean-up of landscapesLoad and unload heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.Bagged and Bulk Material handlingSchedule and monitor daily work assignments.Plan, coordinate, and collect equipment and materials each day.Perform and participate in crew and department general and safety meetings.Submit daily BOSS Mobile TimesheetAdministrative PaperworkTruck and Trailer standardization and cleanlinessUse of technology for communicationCommunicate daily with Production Manager on progress and planning.Daily start up and shut down procedures.Job QualityHours managementSafe driving of company-owned vehicles (with or without trailers)Ability to adjust irrigation controllers and basic knowledge of irrigation components.Maintain on-site relations and communications with clients, contractors and subcontractors.Safe operation and maintenance of equipmentPay/Benefits Package$20 - $25 HourlyBCBS Health Insurance w/ Vision/Dental OptionPaid Time Off annually + 11 Observed Holidays401K.Required SkillsRequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basisAbility to bend and stoop on a continual basisAbility to work outside in all weather conditionsAbility to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns and other environmental risksMust be able to work with minimal supervisionMust wear sturdy shoes, company uniforms, and assigned PPEMust present yourself in a professional, polite mannerMust practice safety with chemicals and equipmentMust wear company-provided eye and ear protection as requiredMust have valid FL Driver's license and maintain a good driving record (CDL preferred)Must be able to pass a criminal background checkMust be willing to obtain FL Pesticide applicators licenseMust have good communication skills and ability to motivate othersMust comply with Bland's policies and proceduresMust be able to pass a criminal background checkExpectations of:Positive Attitude & Solid Work EthicPunctuality & DependabilityCompany Uniform & PPE PolicyCompany Safety Policy
