Are you living your life's work?Position Description: Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians - Hospitalist Group is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to expand upon an already well-established hospitalist program composed of over 40 advanced practice providers and 50 physicians where you will work side by side with our physicians as clinical colleagues. This position would be a mix of 0.5 FTE as inpatient hospitalist at Lancaster General Hospital and 0.5 FTE Internal Medicine consultative coverage at Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital. Lancaster General Hospital - 0.5 FTE component: At LGH, the APP will function as an inpatient hospitalist, performing primary rounding, admissions and consultations, discharge management, and intermittent cross-coverage responsibilities. This role aligns with the standard hospitalist service model, providing 10-hour shifts within a 7-on/7-off schedule and occasional evening swing shifts. As part of our team, you have the opportunity to practice within a well-supported environment coordinating and providing medical care for hospitalized patients across inpatient, observation, and rehabilitation service lines, supported by a dedicated nocturnist team. Procedures are not required. Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital - 0.5 FTE component: The 0.5 FTE role provides Internal Medicine consultative services at Lancaster Rehabilitation Hospital in support of the PM&R attending physician. This is a daytime-only, seven-day-per-week consultative service with no evening or night call. Responsibilities include managing general medical issues and supporting coordinated, discharge planning in a team-based rehabilitation care in collaboration with PM&R and the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. Hours: Full-time, 7 days on/7 days off, 10-hour shifts. Position Requirements: Nurse PractitionerValid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in PennsylvaniaCertification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required. This position requires the Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered NurseMinimum one-year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferredPhysician AssistantCurrent licensure as a Physician Assistant by PA Board of MedicineGraduate of Accredited Physician Assistant training programMinimum one-year experience as a Physician Assistant is preferredWhy Penn Medicine?
