Details: ELECTRONICS TEST TECHNICIANLocation: In Office, Westlake Village, CACompensation: $78,000 to $105,000 baseOverview* Support testing of prototype through production electronic systems* Work directly with Lead Test Engineer and cross-functional hardware teams* Execute and adapt test plans for electrical, mechanical, and thermal validation* Focus on integrated system testing and reliabilityResponsibilities* Execute test plans for electronic components, PCBs, and complete systems* Modify test plans based on device under test conditions* Design, set up, and modify test fixtures and automation systems* Define test parameters to evaluate performance, durability, and safety* Partner with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineers on test execution* Perform failure analysis and root cause identification* Optimize automation to improve test efficiency and repeatability* Perform electronics rework to support testing* Update firmware on low-cost microcontrollers as needed* Collect, interpret, and report device troubleshooting logs* Create or modify simple automation scripts for testing* Interpret applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements* Operate common lab equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQ systems, thermal chambers, and battery simulators* Maintain and calibrate test equipment* Create clear test reports from collected data* Gather test data from device interfaces and online toolsJob RequirementsDetails: Requirements* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or related field, or 5+ years of hands-on experience* 3+ years experience in testing, validation, and analysis of electrical, mechanical, or thermal systems* Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, DAQ systems, thermal chambers, and battery simulators* Experience with failure analysis, root cause identification, and reliability testing* Ability to read schematics, PCB layouts, and technical drawings* Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, or Python for test automation and data analysis* Knowledge of basic statistical analysis concepts* Basic knowledge of rechargeable battery systems* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Strong attention to detail for repeatable, accurate testing* Ability to manage time-driven test workflows* Strong written and verbal communication for reporting results
