Job Title: Product Assembly & Returns SpecialistDepartment: Business Operations & Logistics Reports To: Lab ManagerSupervises: N/ASalary: Non-Exempt/Hourly; $18-$22 per hourSUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Product Assembly & Returns Specialist is responsible for assembling our IoT devices and chemical control systems prior to shipment, as well as processing returned equipment for repair, troubleshooting, or refurbishment. The Product Assembly & Returns Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the quality and functionality of the products shipped to our clients. Key Responsibilities Include:Assembly & PackagingAssemble, test, and ship out all IoT devices and chemical controller systems based on work instructions and product specificationsEnsure proper labeling, cabling, packaging, and documentation is included with each shipmentConduct basic function checks or QA before products are shipped to clientsReturns & TroubleshootingReceive and inspect returned equipment, logging return details and conditionConduct comprehensive analysis to detect and report product malfunctions, including testing various scenarios or simulating user experiencesCollaborate with team members by sharing feature requests and suggesting effective workarounds for common to advanced issuesAssist in diagnosing basic issues with returned items and preparing them for return, refurbishment, or disposalRepackage and return working equipment to inventory or prepare it for re-shipment Warehouse & Lab OperationsKeep work areas in warehouse and lab clean and organized; maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and consumables Follow safety guidelines and warehouse protocols during all operationsSupport general warehouse duties as needed (e.g., shipping preparation, organizing inventory, labeling) Additional tasks as assigned by management RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools like screwdrivers, pliers, and label printersAbility to follow written instructions, stay organized, and complete tasks with accuracy and consistencyBasic knowledge of CRM systems and their functionalityProficient in utilizing computer systems and adept at navigating various software programs efficientlyExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients, team members, vendorsStrong problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to exhibit patience when addressing challenging casesStrong organizational abilities, enabling effective time management and successful multitaskingDetail-oriented approach with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentationDemonstrated adaptability and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, responding adeptly to changing priorities and customer needsCollaborative mindset to contribute to cross-functional teams and achieve common goals Highly self-motivated and passionately driven to achieve professional successAbility to move, lift, carry, and push objects weighing up to 50 lbs on an occasional basisWillingness and availability to work on weekends and holidays if neededSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/AEDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Prior experience in assembly, warehouse, or electronics handling preferredPool industry experience a plus, especially in equipment troubleshooting and diagnosis, replacement, etc.Must obtain CPO license within first 90 days in positionExperience using computer software programs required; experience with GSuite and/or MS Office preferredExperience using CRM systems required; experience with HubSpot and NetSuite is preferred but not requiredMust be able to effectively communicate in English. Ability to communicate in a second language a plus!
