NOTE: This position is for the 2026-2027 school year. The salary will be based on the 2026-2027 salary schedule which is not yet approved by the Board of Education. The salary listed is based on the current year's salary schedule.JOB GOAL: To investigate residence and truancy issues related to students enrolled in the Grandview C-4 School District while enforcing the District residency and the State truancy policies and lawsTERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 260 daysKey Responsibilities:1. Attendance Monitoring: Track daily/weekly absences, identify patterns of truancy. 2. Residency Verification: Investigate student addresses, conduct home visits, check documentation to ensure legal enrollment. 3. Family Engagement: Conduct home visits, counsel parents, educate on attendance laws, de-escalate issues. 4. Intervention & Support: Refer families to community resources, coordinate with social services, and advocate for students. 5. Data & Reporting: Analyze attendance data, maintain records, ensuring schools are following district protocols for attendance and truancy. 6. Prepare various reports for administrators. 7. Enforcement: ensure compliance with state law. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Proficient knowledge and ability to learn/utilize necessary computer software, database programs, internet search tools; including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail, etc. 3. Knowledge of data search methods using various resources to verify residency. 4. Demonstrated knowledge of admissions, enrollment, residency requirements and student records and policy/procedure requirements of each as related to GC-4. 5. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. 6. Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to follow-up with attention to detail both in writing and orally. 7. Possess a valid Driver's License and good driving record. 8. Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Previous truancy/residency related work experience. 2. Prior experience working with youth school age students. 3. Bilingual in Spanish or multiple languages. 4.Demonstrate positive engagement, diplomacy and methods of de-escalation skills.FLSA: Non-ExemptCLEARANCES: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
