Your commitment to these principles is essential to fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring the success of our organization and the community we serve.Position Responsibilities Position will assist the Maintenance Technician in the grounds maintenance of the County's various buildings and sites. Duties will include, but are not limited to trash pickup, trimming, edging, plant bed maintenance, mowing, pruning of trees and bushes, and other assigned task. QualificationsGeneral knowledge of tools, materials and equipment used in turf grass, horticulture and maintenance work; general knowledge of the materials, equipment, tools and techniques of the standard building trades; some knowledge of safety precautions applicable to job duties; ability to understand and follow instructions in both oral and written form; ability to operate simple machinery and equipment; good physical condition; general landscaping knowledge, ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time. With each 5-year increment of employment, vacation accrual increases. Sick LeaveRegular full-time employees earn 12 days of sick leave per year. Paid HolidaysCounty employees receive paid holidays annually.
