Warehouse Handler to support day-to-day artwork storage and movement at our Austin, TX warehouse. The ideal candidate will have warehouse and truck-driving experience and will be comfortable moving a wide range of art objects. The Handler will report to the Warehouse Manager/Inventory Control.Core ResponsibilitiesMaintain storage rooms according to customer wishes, ensuring adequate use of space and safety of itemsMaintain all concierge storage locations within the warehouse ensuring efficient and safe storage of all propertyPack artworks for transportation and storageInstall/de-install artworks for private viewingsTransport works via UOVO's fleet for local work/inter-UOVO shuttles, as neededAssist individual client requests regarding handling, packing and/or inventory managementReceive and release shipments, maintaining accurate inventory and condition reporting when applicableScan property to ensure accurate inventory locations are always maintainedProper handling of art objects, fragile and artistic material, antique and high-end furniturePreparation of condition checks and condition reportsBreaking down crates, trash and other materials as neededSome overtime and weekend work mayOther projects and tasks as assigned by Manager Qualifications & SkillsTeam PlayerAbility to work in a fast paced, detail-oriented, dynamic environmentExperience handling 2D and 3D artworksValid driver's licenseExcellent customer service as well as strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to balance being a team player and taking initiative when necessaryAbility to push and pull 150 pounds on a dolly or cart, as well as 50 pounds without mechanical aidAbility to carry 40 pounds of varying size and shape up to a distance of 90 feetAbility to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach overheadAbility to be exposed to outside weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snowAbility to safely operate a forklift preferredFamiliarity with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, bars, dollies, scissor lifts, genie lifts, and other necessary warehouse equipmentInterest or experience in learning inventory management systems This in-person position requires an on-site presence at UOVO's Austin, TX facility five days a week with occasions for evening or weekend work related to project activities or emergency response.
