See for more details.Position Summary Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment (e.g., Mat Welders, Slitters, Welding Machines, Hoists and Cranes, presses, and forklifts) in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.RequirementsPrimary Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, inspecting, and testing machinery; diagnose issues; evaluate repair needs; and assist with installation of new equipmentRepair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, computer-controlled systems, and production machinesAdjust and calibrate automated manufacturing equipmentInspect drives, motors, and belts; check fluid levels; replace filters; and complete other checklist-based maintenance tasksTroubleshoot and diagnose problems, determining the most effective corrective actionsSet up and/or operate plant equipment (e.g., saws, lift trucks) as needed to complete maintenance workFollow all safety rules, regulations, and safe work practicesObtain supplies and repair parts from distributors or storeroomsPerform other related duties as assigned by supervisor Other Requirements: Thorough knowledge of hydraulic and fluid systems, electrical circuitry, and a basic understanding of PLC control systemsThorough knowledge of blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogsProficient in the use of common hand and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, hammers) as well as specialized precision measuring equipment and electronic testing devicesAbility to read, analyze, and interpret technical dataAbility to write in a clear and concise mannerAbility to deal politely and professionally with customers and coworkersAbility to coach othersWillingness to assist with other projects as neededAbility to define tasks clearly, identify and coordinate resources, and prioritize work distributed to othersEssential Functions: The ability to maintain a positive attitudeThe ability to work cooperatively and excel in a team environmentThe ability to attend work predictably and regularly as well as be punctualThe ability to follow directions or instructionsThe ability to work in an unsupervised environmentThe ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (GED)3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environmentBasic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsAbility to read and follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and technical documentsWillingness to work various shifts and overtime as requiredAbility to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and parts Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma and completion of two years of post-secondary technical training in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field5-7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentProficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagramsDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsKnowledge of PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)Welding, fabrication, and machining skillsExperience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs and use of CMMS systemsCommitment to workplace safety and adherence to OSHA standardsStrong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work independentlyFlexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and respond to emergency maintenance needsDisclaimer This job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
