West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - Floor Tech Facility: West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation CenterLocation: Delray Beach, FLPosition Type: Full-TimeShift: Day ShiftPay Rate: $15.75 per hour Job Summary West Delray Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dependable and experienced Floor Technician to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of our facility. This role is essential to ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities Receive assignments from the supervisor and follow scheduled floor care tasks. Wash, seal, wax, and buff all floors throughout the facility. Maintain and properly care for all equipment used in performing duties. Water and clean large plants within the building. Keep facility grounds clear of debris; sweep front entrance and patio areas. Clean ashtrays and ensure outdoor furniture is clean and usable. Perform assignments from the Maintenance Supervisor, including: Checking and replacing light bulbs Cleaning lint from dryers, vents, and registers in resident rooms and common areas Hose out garbage cans. Assist with performing fire drills. Wash windows and exterior screens as assigned. Assist with lubricating potty chairs, wheelchairs, shower chairs, Geri chairs, drug carts, and similar equipment. Properly utilize supplies and equipment without waste. Return unused supplies to designated areas and dispose of soiled materials appropriately. Clean carts and equipment after use. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned. Candidate Requirements Trained and experienced in floor care equipment and procedures. Prior experience in a nursing home or healthcare facility preferred. Able to lift and carry objects weighing 25–50 lbs. Able to climb, stoop, bend, and crouch without physical limitations. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow schedules and instructions. Experience in professional floor care. Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
