Position Type: Campus Support/Campus AideDate Posted: 2/20/2026Location: Bear Branch Jr. HighDate Available: 2025-26 School YearClosing Date: Open Until FilledJob Title: Aide - Instructional / ISSWage/Hour Status: NonexemptReports to: Principal and Teacher(s) Assigned Pay Grade: Clerical 2Dept./School: Assigned Campus Date Revised: 6/11/18Calendar Days: 187Primary Purpose:Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements.Work under supervision of a certified teacher.Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma Valid Texas educational aide certificate or willingness to obtain certificate(at applicant's expense) within 30 days of employmentAny applicant for paraprofessional jobs who is recommended for hire in Magnolia ISD and has not obtained a minimum of 48 college hours will have to pass a paraprofessional assessment exam which consists of reading, writing and mathematics.Special Knowledge/Skills:Ability to work well with childrenAbility to communicate effectivelyExperience:Some experience working with childrenMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Instructional SupportAssist teacher in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays. Assist with administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments. Help maintain neat and orderly classroom. Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment. Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports. Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.Student ManagementConduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups. Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom. This includes lunchroom, bus, and playground duty. Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.OtherParticipate in staff development training programs to improve job performance. Participate in faculty meeting and special events as assigned. Other duties assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:None.Equipment Used:Copier, personal computer, and audiovisual equipment.Working Conditions:Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:Maintain emotional control under stress.
