Driveline Technician I - Weekend Shift

Job Summary Perform technical duties related to the manufacturing of driveshafts Primary Duties * Operate cut off saws, welders, hydraulic presses, balancers and other mechanical equipment * Use hand tools to assemble driveshafts * Using measuring devise from tape measures to various types of calipers * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * Have general mechanical experience * Works under close direction of senior personnel * Ability to/or learn to read tape measures, dial indicators and calipers * Ability to/or learn to use small tools such as air tools, hammers, pliers, punches * Ability to learn to operate cut off saws, welders and other mechanical equipment * Ability to read work order and instructions given to perform effectively * Physical Requirement: Must be able to properly lift, pack, stack and wrap up 50 pounds on a regular basis * Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to touch, grasp, handle and feel.
