Substitute TeacherMajor FunctionThis employee is responsible for carrying out the lesson plans of the teacher for whom he/she is substituting and meeting the duties of teaching as outlined in policies and procedures of the Pepin Academies.Duties and Responsibilities Follow the lesson plans left by the teacher for whom he/she is substituting in accordance with the Pepin Academies' philosophy, goals and objectives If long term substitute, develop lesson plans as appropriate for the class and students Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated Establish and maintain order in the classroom Maintain a classroom environment conductive to effective learning Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials and equipment and facilities Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and Pepin Academies' policies Establish and maintain cooperative relations with other employees Report to the Director or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school daySchool Expectations: All employees are expected to demonstrate regular and predictable attendance; to support Pepin Academies' vision, mission, goals, and Strategic Plan; to engage in civility, respect, and professionalism; and to maintain the professional knowledge and skills necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of their positions.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentFingerprinting completed by DistrictComplete background check Pay Range: $15 - $17 per hour
