Operations Engineer/ Software DevOps Engineer - Contract - 3 days On-site (Beaverton, OR)We develop, implement, and maintain tools and platforms to build, certify, and deploy "Infrastructure As Code" used for automated deployment and configuration management. We are blending modern technology, forward-thinking engineering teams, and our collaborative culture, to continuously improve these capabilities.In this role, you would be joining a small team of software development engineers and leaders to support deployment automation of the infrastructure and application stack in a large product development organization. Responsibilities:• Authoring configuration management scripts and deployment tools: Chef, Jenkins, Puppet, or equivalent.• Collaborating multi-functionally with development, operations, and product teams to understand their priorities while influencing the optimal use of the development tools, processes, and systems.• Delivering high-quality software products within a full development lifecycle.• Leveraging analytics tools suchas Splunk, and Grafana, aswellas Ruby code and libraries. Qualifications:• 10+ years of software development experience.• BS Technical degree or equivalent work experience.• Proficiency with at least one deployment automation/configuration management tool (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Puppet), preferably Chef.• Experience with Jenkins, Docker, AWS, Python, Gradle, Groovy, Artifactory, GCP, and Ansible.• Development experience with Ruby.• Experience leading features & design through implementation & support phases.• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.• Working experience in an Agile environment and deep familiarity with Agile development processes.• Solid understanding and experience at the system level with Linux.• Experience with test frameworks, TDD/BDD a plus.• Experience with distributed systems at a large scale.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, building positive relationships with partners internal and external to the organization.• Experience in full life-cycle software engineering practices including coding standards, testing, code reviews, source control management, and operations.• Experience designing and building REST-based APIs.
