Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW / LISW) - Behavioral Health56th Medical Group, Luke Air Force Base, Luke AFB | ArizonaOverviewThe 56th Medical Group (56th MDG) at Luke Air Force Base provides comprehensive outpatient medical and behavioral health services in support of active-duty service members, military retirees, and their families.We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LISW) to deliver outpatient behavioral health services in a military treatment facility. This role focuses on adult mental health care in a structured clinical setting with an emphasis on trauma-focused and solution-focused treatment.Schedule & Work HoursFull-Time | On-Site40 hours per weekSchedule Options:Five (5) 8-hour shifts orFour (4) 10-hour shiftsNo weekendsNo on-call requirementIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate will demonstrate:Strong clinical orientation with trauma-focused trainingExperience in solution-focused therapy, typically delivered in 8-15 session treatment modelsAbility to manage a caseload of approximately 5 patients per dayComfort working independently in an outpatient military clinical environmentKey ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and formulate individualized treatment plansProvide counseling and psychotherapy services to individuals, groups, couples, and familiesUtilize DSM-5 diagnostic criteria in the assessment and treatment of adult mental health conditionsDeliver evidence-based behavioral health interventions for psychiatric, medical, and psychosocial concernsCollaborate with interdisciplinary treatment teams to support continuity of care and treatment complianceProvide consultation to medical and behavioral health staff regarding psychosocial needs and treatment planningMaintain accurate clinical documentation using approved electronic medical record systemsPractice in accordance with professional standards, ethics, and scope of licensureUse computer applications for documentation, data management, and clinical trackingQualificationsEducationMaster of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited school of social workLicensureCurrent, unrestricted, independent LCSW or LISW licenseLicense may be held in any U.S. stateExperienceMinimum three (3) years within the past five (5) years practicing clinical social work in a mental health settingExperience working with an adult populationDemonstrated use of DSM-5 for diagnosisRequired Knowledge & SkillsKnowledge of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment proceduresUnderstanding of acute, chronic, and traumatic illnesses or injuriesFamiliarity with common psychotropic medications and their effects or side effectsAbility to implement evidence-based treatment modalities with individuals, families, and groupsAbility to independently assess psychosocial functioning and needsStrong understanding of professional standards and clinical ethicsAbility to work with diverse populations across socioeconomic, cultural, and educational backgroundsWhy Join the 56th MDG at Luke AFB?This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful outpatient behavioral health care to the military community while maintaining work-life balance through flexible scheduling options.
