Salary: $15.23/hr. minimum - $21.58/hr. max (Depending on qualifications) Responsible for performing manual labor and use tools and equipment required to care for and maintain the Mesquite Municipal Golf Course. Assist in construction and maintenance of golf landscape operations. Operate, clean, and maintain golf course equipment.   You can search for this position's full job description here. SUPERVISION General supervision is provided by the Golf Course Superintendent. * All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct and Rules of Behavior outlined in chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.          * Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and procedures. * Operate a variety of landscaping and lawn equipment to care for and maintain the golf course such as edger, line trimmer, push lawnmower, utility cart, greens mowers, fairway mowers and rough mowers and other various equipment. * Operates maintenance equipment to maintain golf course landscaping, equipment includes mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, aerifiers, and various hand tools. * Mows, edges, aerates, and fertilize greens and fairways. Applies fertilizers as necessary. Documents products applied and rates of application. * Plants and maintains trees, shrubs, perennial beds, flower beds, and native plants.         * Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs irrigation system. * Landscape Construction - soil preparation, fine grading, sod/seed installation, shrubs, perennial and flower bed installation. * Responsible for trash collection and removal on course, cart paths, drainage systems, and open space. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance. EXPERIENCE Six months of increasingly responsible experience performing maintenance work involving the operation of park maintenance equipment. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES Possession of a valid driver's license.   WORK SCHEDULE * 20-30 hours per week  * 5:00am - 1:30pm  * Monday thru Friday, including weekends and holidays
