This role offers a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment where you will quickly gain a solid skillset essential for advancing your accounting career. As a Senior or Supervising Senior, you will be given ongoing opportunities and increased responsibilities as you grow with the firm.Key ResponsibilitiesComplex Tax Preparation: Prepare complex income tax returns for business entities, including S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, and non-profits.Review: Review the preparation of tax returns completed by Associates.Engagement Coordination: Help coordinate tax engagements, managing aspects such as client contact, staff requirements, documentation, and timing.Research & Problem-Solving: Work closely with more experienced team members to research and solve difficult tax issues, developing optimal client solutions.Supervision: Supervise and mentor less experienced team members while working on special projects.Client Relations: Actively work to build strong client relationships to be viewed as a trusted advisor.Firm Growth: Obtain and apply skills necessary to promote the firm, attract new clients, and expand business with existing clients.Expected QualificationsEducation and Credentials: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. CPA certification or active progress toward licensure is highly desirable.Experience: Relevant, progressive experience in public accounting, demonstrating the ability to manage complex tax preparation and review processes (typically 3+ years).Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax compliance for various entities; excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills; proven ability to supervise and mentor staff; superior communication and client service skills.Benefits
