Premix Operator - 1st Shift

Job Description:This position is responsible for mixing various raw materials to create rock batches and verifying that all aspects of the rock batching area are operating correctly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Set up and verify the formulation of batches in the rock batching areaVerify that correct ingredients arrive in accurate quantities for the mixers according to listed formulasComplete required documentation for material usage, inventory, material scrap requests, etc.Assist Maintenance in the troubleshooting and correction of mechanical or system problemsMaintain accurate inventory levels and perform month-end ingredient inventory countsCommunicate with Rock Batching Manager and other support groups when troubleshooting issues arise in the rock batching areaEnsure materials are weighed accurately and added to the mixers with proper timingKeep work area clean and orderlyPerform job duties safely as outlined in the Rock Batching Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Additional duties as assigned by managementMinimum Qualifications:Ability to become certified in forklift and overhead crane operationBasic computer skillsEducation: N/AExperience: N/ASystems: N/APreferred Qualifications:Ability to read and write in English to complete required documentationCritical thinking and troubleshooting skillsBasic math skillsMechanically inclinedIndustrial work experienceHigh School Diploma or GEDCambria Success Factors:High attention to detailReliable and punctualDirect communicationSense of urgency in completing workCapable of multitaskingWork well both independently and with a teamSelf-motivatedManagerial Responsibilities: N/ATravel Requirements: N/APhysical Requirements: Lift and maneuver a 50 lb. pan of raw materials and dump into barrel mixerPush/pull a cart on wheels weighing approximately 800 lbs. with assistance from a co-workerBend, twist, turn, reach, and pull with your body throughout shiftManually mix materials within a barrel mixerHandle chemicalsStand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaksWear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by CambriaParticipate in daily stretch and flex exercisesOccasionally work in wet and/or humid conditionsWork in a non-climate controlled environmentTask Based Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements: Steel toed bootsHearing ProtectionSafety glassesCut-proof glovesRespiratorFace shieldRubber glovesOven glovesLatex glovesTyzek hooded full body suitCambria's starting hourly range for this position is $17.15 - $22.66. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
