After completing this required document, click on the blue "Apply for This Job" button to continue with the process.Purpose StatementThe Media & IT Help Desk Assistant is responsible for glorifying God through excellence in technical production, audio-visual support, and media operations across campus events and programs. This position provides hands-on assistance for chapels, drama productions, and classroom technology, while helping students grow in their understanding of media and production as acts of service and worship.Specific ResponsibilitiesProvide technical setup and support for weekly chapel services, drama productions, and other campus eventsOperate and maintain audio, video, lighting, and projection systems, including ProPresenter and other production softwareSupport the integration and function of campus-wide digital screens and displays, ensuring content runs smoothlyAssist in the creation and editing of photos and videos for school marketing and communications as neededCollaborate with the Media Director to ensure excellence in all visual and technical presentationsTrain and mentor students in media, sound, and lighting operations, fostering responsibility and teamwork during chapel and drama productionProvide technical assistance to faculty and staff during school events and assembliesHelp maintain media and production equipment, ensuring proper care, organization, and functionalityServe as part of the tech team for special events and occasional after-school productions as neededProvide technical support to the teachers and students by managing the IT Help Desk ticketing systemProvide chromebook loaners to students when neededSend for repair any chromebook that cannot be repaired in houseProvide equipment maintenance to all personal devices during the summerQualifications / Skills / GiftsBe a committed Christian who is a member in good standing of a Bible-believing churchHave a strong commitment to the Philosophy and Statement of Faith of First Baptist Church at Weston and to the Mission Statement of Weston Christian AcademyHave a teachable and humble spiritDemonstrate experience with audio-visual systems, including soundboards, lighting controls, and presentation software such as ProPresenterAbility to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and calmlyBasic understanding of production principles, including stage setup, lighting, and sound designSome experience in photography and photo/video editing software (such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or Premiere Pro)Some experience with information technology help deskStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and volunteersEnthusiastic, flexible, and positive attitudeEnjoys working with students and guiding them in hands-on learning opportunitiesWork ScheduleMonday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with availability for some evening or special events as needed.
