Role Overview As a Shift Supervisor, you will report directly to the Plant Superintendent and be responsible for overseeing safety, quality, productivity, material handling, cost performance, and employee management during your assigned shift. This position specifically focuses on the 2nd shift in our production operations. Key Responsibilities• Lead safety initiatives and promote best manufacturing practices for the assigned shift.• Manage production scheduling to align with customer demands while minimizing inventory, reducing costs, and managing overtime.• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing tools like SPS, Six Sigma, Kaizen events, and lean manufacturing to meet performance metrics.• Foster a positive work environment by building and maintaining strong relationships that enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.• Provide direction, training, and development for hourly employees, including counseling and discipline when necessary.• Identify, propose, and implement capital projects to enhance operational performance. Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, or Engineering is strongly preferred.• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
