Test Engineer

Job DescriptionPosition Title: Test EngineerPosition Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract Test Engineer opportunity with our client located in Bellevue, Washington. This is an onsite role.Job Qualifications: A senior/director/lead Test Engineer 5+ years of test experience. Electrical Engineer background. Proven experience as an individual contributor Broad platform-level test/ measurement/ validation across different sub-systems. Must have broad and heavy hands-on experience in creating and executing tests: Conduct in-depth testing of multiple sub-systems, including power delivery, power integrity, high-speed serial buses, and low-speed control and communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART, etc.). Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans for entire products, ensuring thorough coverage of all relevant aspects. Low-Level Measurements: Heavy utilization of a wide range of test equipment to perform precise low-level measurements and analysis. Automation and Scripting: Leverage automation tools and scripting languages to improve efficiency and accuracy in test execution (e.g., Python, Perl). System Bringup: (Optional) Collaborate with hardware and software teams to successfully bring up new systems, including low-level OS (EFI shell, RTOS, etc.) and Linux environments. Compliance Testing: (Optional bonus) Conduct compliance testing to ensure products meet industry standards and regulations (e.g., EMI, EMC) is a plus.Preferred Job Qualifications: Consumer electronics (vaguely "PC" architecture) experience. Experience working with overseas contract manufacturers. Bonus - Mandarin speaking experience. Bonus - interested in and/or willing to travel (Taiwan and/or China). Bonus - high-speed/signal integrity test experience, but not required.Job Details: Job Type: Contract Pay Rate Range: $50/hr-$101/hr.
