Maintenance Mechanic II (36396)

Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic II. An ideal candidate will have HVAC service and repair, electrical, plumbing or carpentry experience. The purpose of this position is to coordinate and control the activities of the Engineering Department to provide services, repair and maintenance necessary to insure the safe and efficient operation of the hospital, clinic facilities, and Medical Office Building. Provide a variety of routine to skilled maintenance duties which will result in a well-maintained safe environment for all occupants.Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Trade school education in electrical, HVAC or construction preferred.Experience: 8 years' experience in the operation and repair of mechanical equipment.Licenses/Certificates: NoneSpecial Skill: HVAC service and repair, electrical, plumbing or carpentry experience. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk eight hours a day, bend and squat repeatedly, push and pull equipment continuously and lift up to 80 pounds of weight.Supervisor: Director of Plant Operations Positions Reporting Directly To This Position: None
