Maintenance Worker (Sun Valley)

JOB SUMMARYThis position will maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the building, including cleaning offices, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors. Empty trash cans and place trash in the dumpster. Wash the interior of the windows. Dust and wax furniture. Clean and sanitize restrooms; restock paper goods. Maintain cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when items are needed. Close the facility at night and set security alarms as appropriate. Perform minor building maintenance. Notify the supervisor of building repairs that are needed. Perform other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES Knowledge of cleaning methods. Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner. Ability to work in culturally and racially diverse populations and in lower socio-economic conditions. Ability to pleasantly and effectively represent the organization.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent OR a combination of education and related work experience preferred. 0 to 1 year of related experience.CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSURE / LANGUAGE Must provide proof of required vaccinations by federal, state, and local funding sources. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Employees driving personal vehicles for El Proyecto business must provide El Proyecto proof of a valid driving license, and auto liability insurance. El Proyecto will reimburse employees for their mileage at the current rate set by the Internal Revenue Service.
