Life Safety Systems Engineer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Life Safety Systems Engineer to design and manage fire alarm, VESDA, security, detection, and life safety systems for large-scale, mission-critical facilities. This is a long-term role with exciting opportunities to work on cutting-edge semiconductor and data center projects while collaborating with top engineers and architects.Position Highlights: Location Options: Tempe, AZ | Austin, TX | Portland, OR | Fort Worth, TX | Pittsburgh, PA Pay Range: $48 - $75 per hour (based on experience) Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Travel: Up to 10% Assignment Term: Through September 2026, with strong potential for extensionWhat You'll Do: Lead design of fire alarm, VESDA, security, smoke/leak detection, and life safety systems Apply NFPA, NEC, IBC, IFC, and hazardous materials codes to ensure compliance Create 2D/3D models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and code officials Mentor junior staff and take ownership of projects as engineer of recordWhat We're Looking For: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with ability to obtain PE license 4+ years of AutoCAD design experience Strong knowledge of life safety codes and electrical design standards Experience with fire alarm systems and manufacturer equipment (VESDA preferred) PE license, Revit proficiency, and data center/semiconductor project experience are a plusMeet Your RecruiterJacob Perry
