Location:EAC (Education and Administration Center)Recruiting Start Date:03/13/2026Estimated Start Date:07/01/2026The Executive Director for Learning Services (School Leadership) assists the Assistant Superintendent for Learning Services with dynamic educational leadership in the Learning Services Department; provides leadership, guidance, and support for K-12 school principals; ensures standards-based instruction and assessment; and, supervises assigned Principals, Learning Services Directors and other Learning Services staff.The following statements are illustrative of the essential functions of the job and other key duties that may be required. proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance StandardsCollaborates with all Learning Services to support the unique learning needs of all studentsCollaborates with Principals and other District staff in planning and developing programsCollects, analyzes, and reports essential data and documents for compliance with state and federal requirementsCommunicates regularly with building administrators regarding educational programming and staffingCoordinates and assists with Title IX complaints at assigned school levelsCreates and nurtures partnerships with parents to support the unique needs of studentsDevelops proposals, monitors, and reports funding matters regarding state and federal grant resources as the grant managerDevelops, maintains, and assists with applicable staffing and develops consistent practices in allocation of resources to support schools and District programsEnsures District schools are accountable to stakeholdersEnsures ongoing compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, and Board of Education policiesEnsures principals are in compliance with the District's accreditation planFacilitates and/or attends level principal meetings as assignedFosters cooperation and communication with community agencies and community membersMonitors, evaluates, and improves assigned Learning Services programs through data analysis and program evaluationOversees assigned data collection processes for compliance and other reporting to local, state, and federal agencies and ensures accuracy and timeliness of submissionsProvides leadership and support for non-traditional schools/programs in the DistrictProvides leadership and vision in the identification of research-based best practices for professional learning, programming, and ongoing program evaluation to support all learnersProvides professional learning and on-going compliance training for K-12 principalsProvides supervision and evaluation for licensed and classified staff as assignedSupervises and supports the work of assigned administrative staff and assists with committees, program evaluation, standards and assessment implementation, professional learning activities, and projectsSupervises and supports the work of assigned directors and assist with curriculum committees, program evaluation, standards & assessment implementation, professional learning activities and projectsSupervises assigned principalsUtilizes student achievement and growth data to drive instructional programming for all studentsVisits classrooms regularly with principals and provides coaching to principals on how to give effective feedback to improve student learningWorks closely with the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent for Learning Services to ensure the ASD20 mission is achievedTo be shared or assigned between three executive directors:Ensures student contact hours meet legal requirements of the state throughout the school yearLeads and supports monthly K-12 assistant principal meetingsMonitors student instructional minutesOversee the planning and organization of all ASD20 high school graduationsPlans and co-facilitates level dean and assistant principal meetingsPresents the Character (E1.2) Annual Report to the Board of EducationReports the annual tracking graduate presentation to the board of educationSupervises and oversees the District Athletic and Activities programSupervises the District Foreign Exchange Student ProgramServes as District administrator for the Temporary Homebound SupportServes as the 504 administrator for the
