Every colleague is encouraged to participate in our Recruit Awesome People program, helping us grow Convergint by promoting our colleague-first culture and referring top talent to the Talent Acquisition Team and hiring managers.What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"Under supervision, responsible for day-to-day operations, month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes for the inventory and cost accounting functions.Prepare and post journal entries. Understand technical accounting and provide sufficient documentation supporting entries.Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and research variances for assigned accounts.Manage the maintenance and periodic updates of cost accounting records.Assist with periodic physical inventory.Assist with B/S and P&L variance analysis including variances against budget and prior periods, providing detailed insights and actionable recommendations to managementAssist with the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports.Use accounting standards and internal company policies to analyze and propose solutions for accounting issues.Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.Assist with periodic audits and provide necessary documentation.Participate in special projects and process improvement initiativesPerform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.What You'll NeedCurious mindset, eagerness to learn and open to new challenges.Self-motivation, a "can-do" attitude.High attention to detail.Flexibility; ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong planning and organizational skills; ability to meet tight deadlines.Strong team player able to effectively collaborate with others within and outside accounting teams.Adaptability and enthusiasm for embracing new technology.Requirements:Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university or college1-3 years accounting related experienceCPA or progression toward CPAProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointPreferred Qualifications:Public accounting audit experienceExperience working in cost accounting function within a manufacturing or construction companyNetSuite or other large ERP experienceCompany BenefitsConvergint fosters a supportive, accessible, and inclusive environment in which all individuals are able to realize their maximum potential within the company.
