Patrol the parking facilities and curbsides for potential issues and report any findings to the Shift Supervisor or other appropriate personnel.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The following duties are typical for this position. Incumbents may not perform all the listed duties and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.Provide excellent customer service and assist patrons promptly and courteously.Monitor, staff and perform regular patrols in all parking facilities including surface lots and garages, and all curbsides including departures, arrivals and ground transportation operations areas as assigned, and directed. Report any issues to the Shift Supervisor or other appropriate personnel as directed.Provide patrons with accurate information regarding parking rates, availability, ground transportation operations, airport information, and directions across multiple communication avenues.Assist patrons with locating their vehicles in a prompt and courteous manner.Assist patrons with ground transportation needs and options in a prompt and courteous manner.Assist patrons requiring a jump start in a prompt and courteous manner.Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the nightly license plate inventory.Responsible for performing space counts in a timely and efficient manner as and where directed.Responsible for various tasks on the curbsides including staffing the taxi stand and ensuring that all ground transportation operations are running efficiently at all times.Responsible for ensuring that vehicles on the curbsides are not left unattended and are stopped only when actively loading / unloading.Performs various tasks in the Parking Operations Center as assigned and directed to include but not be limited to assisting patrons via intercoms, telephone and in the lanes as needed.Ensures that all parking transactions in assigned exit facilities are processed in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with all Authority and departmental policies and procedures.Maintains an accurate record of all revenue collected and responsibly handles cash.Adheres to all Authority and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.Ensures that all workspaces, parking facilities, curbsides, booths and departmental vehicles are kept clean and are always organized.Performs all other duties as assigned and directed.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The following generally describes the knowledge, skills and abilities required to enter the job and/or be learned within a short period of time to successfully perform the assigned duties.Ability to communicate effectively with patrons is critical to this position. Ability to deal with problems and work well under pressure.Knowledge of correct procedures in all landside operations.Ability to clock in/out on time on a regular basis.EDUCATION/TRAINING: High school graduate or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years of direct customer service experience required.Experience working in an airport environment preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possess a valid driver's license and must meet NAA driving record requirements.Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge as may be required by assigned job duties and responsibilities.EQUIPMENT OPERATION: Computerized parking fee computer; laptop and hand-held unit for collection of daily license plate inventory; iPad for looking up vehicle license plates and other tasks as required; multi-line telephone system; 2-way intercom system in parking entrances and exits; motor vehicle with automatic transmission; electric vehicle, DVR for CCTV footage research/playback; 2-way radio; booth alarm, drop safe, personal computer, portable vehicle jump starter.PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS: Persons with disabilities may be able to perform the essential duties of this class with reasonable accommodation. When working throughout the airport you must be always very conscious of the vehicular traffic movement around you as well as all gate arms and other equipment.
