Kettle Operator 2nd Shift

  Nesco Resource is currently seeking a Kettle Operator/Food Production Associates for our long-time client in Ferndale. Shift:2nd Shift -12 noon - 8:30 pm, Monday - Friday with overtime as production demands. Pay: $14.25 per hour, raise upon completion of 4 week training. Depending on position, duties may include (but are not limited to): Operate kettle by setting machine, checking valves and adding ingredients for recipe Operate other assigned machines according to specific work instructions and production schedules Lifting heavy materials as needed Use various chemicals to clean piping Ensure all piping and connections for machines are secure prior to starting proccess Comply with safety and quality procedures Ensure proper sanitation for production areas, surfaces and machines Familiar with production machinery safety Prepare paperwork and supplies for efficiency at the start of shift Perform necessary set-up and pre-check tasks on machine Monitor machine for correct settings and operation Perform routine troubleshooting and maintenance as needed Maintain clean and safe workspace adhering to all Good Manufacturing Practices and quality standards consistently Mointer machine through operating process to ensure proper cycle completion Complete necessary paperwork at end of shift Requirements: Food manufacturing/processing experience is a plus but not required Desire to learn Willingness to cross-train/learn multiple departments Ability to communicate effectively via written and verbal methods Ability to lift up to 50to 70lbs intermittently throughout shift Ability to work in a wet/cold (35-40 degrees) and hot environment Nesco Resource provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
