Lead Final Inspector

Final Inspector II – Aerospace / Precision Manufacturing Location: Phoenix, AZ Pay: 1st Shift Shift: $24-$30/hr Primary Responsibilities Perform final, in-process, and receiving inspections on machined parts and assemblies using standard hand tools (micrometers, calipers, thread gages, etc.), functional gages, test fixtures, and CMM (reading/reporting data). Verify parts meet engineering drawings, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and customer specifications. Complete First Article Inspections (FAI / AS9102) and prepare/submit documentation packages to customers. Document inspections, record nonconformances, create "turn-back” reports, and segregate questionable material. Use quality software/systems to log variable data, track trends, and generate detailed inspection reports. Support PPAP submissions and act as delegated source inspector when required. Conduct process audits, over-inspections, and Gage R&R studies as needed. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of mechanical/dimensional inspection experience in aerospace or precision machining environment Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills Proficient with CMM reports and basic hand tools Solid computer skills and experience with FAI software (Net-Inspect or similar) Comfortable with SPC, inspection planning, and formal documentation Familiar with machining processes and common special processes (heat treat, plating, NDT, etc.) Six Sigma / Lean exposure and Gage R&R experience are a big plus High school diploma or GED required (correctable vision to 20/30 and ability to pass color-vision test) COM055 Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
