Roles & ResponsibilitiesGeneral Duties:Check ROH availability and order as necessary,(peptone; dyes, & chemicals)Maintain inventory control of reagents, supplementsProvide support with inventory control of reference standardsBio-hazardous Waste handlingRestockingPrepare various types of Media - Agars, BrothsMaintain inventory of prep area supplies - tubes,glassware, etc.Pull materials to be weighed - stagingWash glasswareRun Autoclaves and pH metersFollow prep sheets for exact weighing and preparing of mediaMonthly water bath & pH meters maintenancemaintain stock media and Water blanksKeep Prep lab GMP compliant and audit readyExperience Required1-2 years' experience preferredSkills & CertificationsKnowledge / skills:Must be able to work independently and as part of a teamMust follow written and verbal communication and be able to communicate effectively with others.Must have good organizational skills.Must be capable of thinking independently.Operates under minimal supervision and schedules own work.Questions to be referred to Microbiologists,Group Leaders or SupervisorMust be able to handle a fast paced work environmentEligibilities & qualificationsAssociates degree or BS/BA in related field required.Typical degree in Biological Sciences and/or Microbiology
