Our mission is to Accelerate, expanding what's possible for our customers, our people, and our communities.We operate as One Team, Take Ownership, Seek to Serve, and Go Beyond to deliver quality, operational excellence, and scalable manufacturing solutions in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.Schedule & TrainingThis position begins with a paid training period of approximately three (3) months to ensure employees are fully prepared for the role.Training Schedule:Monday - Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PMAfter completing training, employees transition to a compressed production schedule with a 3-day work week.Regular Production Schedule (after training):Thursday - Saturday | 5:00 AM - 5:00 PMDue to production demand, employees should expect regular overtime, with typical work weeks ranging from 40 to 50 hours.Employees are eligible for overtime pay for hours worked beyond 10 hours in a shift or 40 hours in a week, whichever is greater. Candidates must be able to work the weekday training schedule, transition to the production shift after training, and be available for overtime as needed.SUMMARYAs part of an elite production support team, the Process Technician provides essential support for our production shifts by actively working with operators, engineering, and others to troubleshoot and resolve issues encountered during build processes, ensuring effective communication with affected teams. Under the direction of the Technical Support Supervisor and, if applicable, the assigned Manufacturing Engineer, the role involves creating, reviewing, and maintaining build documentation in MES software, as well as developing and managing machine programs for production equipment. This position also implements changes based on customer feedback, operator feedback, and issue system reports. Tasks are distributed among the team members and rotated as necessary.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide immediate engineering support for build processes and equipment in response to production issues on the shop floor.Oversee production for prototype and NPI assemblies requiring additional engineering input.Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes.Research, recommend procurement of, and modify tooling and fixtures to optimize the manufacturing process.Program, review, and update jobs in MES software (Factory Logix), ensuring that customer data and datasheets are accurately reflected in the build documentation.Generate program recipes for various production tools and machines for all aspects of production.Address issues assigned to the Engineering team through the issue management system.Update the Materials List, Factory Logix integration settings, and special instructions in the Epicor ERP system and other internal systems as necessary. Communicate effectively with internal teams and, when necessary, with external customers.Train operators and technicians on procedures and processes to ensure adherence to standards, working with production supervisors and leads to ensure training is effectively delivered and adequately documented.Create and maintain part packages as needed.Review customer documentation for clarity and communicate discrepancies through established issue systems.Participate in new equipment installations and related activities.Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for equipment programming and operation, developing documentation and providing training.Actively engage in workgroup/team activities, demonstrating support for continuous improvement initiatives.Foster a positive, adaptive, and dependable team environment.Provide input for problem-solving and maintain strong communication skills.Promote Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs.Adhere to established quality policies and procedures, driving toward defect reduction, advocating for improvements.Meet efficiency and utilization standards while prioritizing tasks appropriately.Expected to follow and contribute to safe work practices, including incident reporting and compliance with all safety policies.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.The work performed in this job can only be done on site; therefore, attendance is an essential function of the job.Other duties may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or GED required. A two-year certificate from a college or technical school, or equivalent, is preferred.A minimum of three years of experience in electronics, manufacturing equipment, programming and operation required.Proficiency in MS Office is required.Experience with PCB CAD systems is preferred.Intermediate to advanced computer skills, with the ability to coordinate across different software systems.Prior experience with Factory Logix MES and Epicor EMS is preferred.Basic math skills required for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts and work with both metric and imperial measurement systems.Ability to assess product quality against written documentation and applicable standards.Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to interpret various technical instructions and manage abstract and concrete variables.Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently for effective communication and comprehension of documentation.Ability to analyze and interpret common manufacturing documents, technical specifications, and machine reports.CERTIFICATIONSMust successfully complete the Milwaukee Electronics Component Identification course (in-house training provided).Must successfully complete the IPC-A-610 Workmanship Standard Awareness course (in-house training provided).Must comply with ITAR regulations as Milwaukee Electronics is a DDTC Registered Company.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
