Engineering Co Op

The Team This co-op program allows students to experience a civil- and/or structural-focused environment within a corporate setting. Engineering department interns are assigned to one of three rotations each semester: core structural engineering with analysis focus, core structural engineering with operational focus, or A&E/site design. Training involves hands-on experience with structural analysis software tools and theoretical-based training with licensed professionals, civil engineers, and structural engineers. Interns work in small groups alongside Senior Engineers to address the Company's needs. The Engineering Intern performs structural analyses of cell phone towers and prepares formal, written reports detailing tower capacity and listing recommendations for modifications needed to increase capacity. The Engineering Intern completes civil designs of sites including roads, stormwater, grading, and equipment placement. The Intern also reviews field inspections and recommend remediation procedures.
