The spirit of DIY and customization runs throughout every element of a Slate, because people should have control over how their trucks look, feel, and represent them.| WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORWe are seeking interns to do hands-on, real-world work that directly contributes to the performance, comfort, and refinement of our vehicles. Your work will support the development, testing, and optimization of vehicle performance and functionality attributes across multiple systems and components.This role combines organizational and analytical skills while working with cross-functional engineering groups such as Electrical, Powertrain, and Vehicle Integration to increase efficiency of lab operations. This is a hands-on position where you will develop and implement a lab inventory management tool and deploy it within the electronics lab.| WHAT YOU GET TO DOSet up and test a selected inventory management system for the parts and supplies used for prototype vehicle development, testing, and repair.Take control of existing stock and organize/classify it for use within the inventory management system.Train lab management and users on efficient usage of the system as well as best practices for storing, adding, or replenishing inventoryDevelop reporting capabilities for stock levels and recommendations for reorders| WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAMPursuit of an associate's or bachelor's degree in operations, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related fieldMust be graduating between August 2026 and May 2029Able to work full-time, 40 hours per weekStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsComfortable working in both laboratory and vehicle/plant environmentsExperience with inventory management is a plusWHY JOIN TEAM SLATE?At Slate, we're fueled by grit, determination, and attention to detail.
