Job DescriptionSURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Metal Polisher for a company in Lombard, IL The Metal Polisher is responsible for operating automated and semi-automated production equipment to create and manufacture finished products. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($18-$24/HR) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include 6a-2:30p. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Metal Polisher: Surface Preparation: Grind, buff, and finish metal surfaces to remove imperfections, weld marks, and burrs. Apply polishing compounds and use abrasive tools and machines to create smooth, reflective, or satin finishesLift and move metal parts and materials during the polishing process.Set up, operate, and maintain machinery and hand tools, such as sanders, grinders, and polishing wheelsInspect metal parts to ensure they meet aesthetic and quality standardsFollow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to avoid exposure to dust and chemicals Required Qualifications of the Metal Polisher:Previous experience in production, manufacturing, assembling, and/or machine operating. Demonstrated mechanical aptitudeFlexibility to work overtime and extra shifts as needed. Experience reading and interpreting production specifications a plus.
