We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Assistant Executive Director to support the daily operations of our community and help ensure exceptional resident care and staff performance. Position Summary The Assistant Executive Director works closely with the Executive Director to oversee community operations, ensure regulatory compliance, support department heads, and promote a positive living experience for residents and families. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about senior care. Key Responsibilities Assist the Executive Director with overall community operations and administration Support compliance with NYS Assisted Living regulations and internal policies Supervise and support department heads and frontline staff as needed Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management Address resident and family concerns with professionalism and empathy Assist with census development, tours, and community outreach Ensure high standards of customer service, safety, and resident satisfaction Act as Manager-on-Duty in the Executive Director’s absence Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, senior housing, healthcare administration, or related field preferred Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of NYS assisted living regulations is a plus Ability to multitask, problem-solve, and lead by example Proficiency with basic computer systems and documentation Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) What We Offer Competitive salary  Supportive leadership team Opportunity for professional growth and advancement Meaningful work making a difference in residents’ lives
