Our client is in the Los Angeles CA area and is a division of a world leading design and manufacturer of aerospace products and is looking for several NC Programmer/Machinistresponsible for providing Manufacturing support to their department.Keltia is a technical support services company providing Engineering Design, CAD Training along with Specialized Technical Recruiting services to mainly the aerospace and other industries in WA State, around the US, Canada and Europe. We have been in business 20 years in the US and 8 years in Europe.NC PROGRAMMER - Los Angeles CAJob Summary:Develop NC Programs and Models using CAD/CAM software from customer-defined drawing and models, for multi-axis machining centers. Define and design the manufacturing process for complex aerospace designs, including machined hog-outs, extrusion and sheet metal parts. Define all material requirements for job specific parts, tooling and expendable tools.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Define NC manufacturing processes conducive to lean manufacturing principles Define, design and request tooling for manufacturing sequences of machined parts Determine optimal material size for the tooling and the manufacturing process of detail parts Determine necessary cutting tools to be used for manufacturing processes Using CAD/CAM software, create programs and set up information for three, four, and five axis NC mills and/or waterjet machining center. Validate estimator's expectation of operational process and scope of job Track parts through operations to validate process and ensure quality/cycle time standards Work with inspection to verify integrity of parts/NC programsQualifications/Requirements:Superior CAD/CAM skills Adept problem solving skills Strong organizational, planning and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Must be mechanically inclined, with knowledge of Aerospace work Must be highly detail oriented Must be able to work effectively with little or no supervision Must have the ability to read blueprints Knowledge of safety measures pertinent to each job assignment (Training provided) Must be capable of working in a fast paced environment and meet customer deadlinesEducation/Experience:Required:High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years CAD/CAM experiencePreferred:5 years' experience in general NC Programming practices, machining and tool building (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Experience with 5 axis programming a plus Experience with Catia a plusMachinist - CAJob Summary:The Machinist operates numerical control (NC) machines and machining centers to fabricate aerospace parts per engineering specifications without supervision. The Machinist receives on-the-job training to set up jobs with supervision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Set-up, run, and dimensionally maintain quality in a production environment Good inspection skills and blueprint reading skills with ability to use all shop inspection tools Basic troubleshooting skills and must be able to recognize production problems such as out-of-tolerance Machining, poor finishes, damaged or worn cutters, and tooling Ability to dial in a hole or Edge-Find and set Machine Offsets Basic understanding of G & M code Versatility across multiple machine centers is a plus Meets job standard times with minimal supervision Follows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures Other duties as assignedQualifications/Requirements:Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, and properly use measuring/set up tools such as edge finder, indicator, micrometers, etc. Mechanically inclined, with good manual dexterity Basic math, trigonometry, algebra and geometry skills Disciplined work habits, follows instruction and strong attention to detail Communicates well verbally and in writing Requires fluency in English (speaking, reading and writing) Positive attitude and reliableEducation/Experience:Required:High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred: 3+ years' experience running a CNC mill or recent Machinist Tech Training Certificate, proven ability to consistently run good parts that meet production standardsIf interested, please send your updated resume in Word doc format to Heverton at heverton@ with preferred pay requirements and availability and we will follow up very shortly.
