Engineers and Technical Specialists Pay Rate: $45-$60/hr (DOE) Employment Type: Contract Est. Duration: 6-24 months (varies by project) Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Locations: Newton, Hickory, Wilmington, Concord, Midland, NCTekberry is proactively recruiting Engineers and Technical Specialists for multiple upcoming contract openings with our client, a world-class manufacturing and technology leader in North Carolina. Typical Roles Mechanical Engineer II-III Controls / PLC Engineer Automation Engineer Manufacturing / Process Engineer Electrical Engineer Key Responsibilities Design, test, and implement mechanical or controls systems to support production operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new equipment and systems. Support equipment installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Optimize system performance and reliability through root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Maintain documentation, drawings, and technical reports in compliance with engineering standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline. 3-8 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Hands-on exposure to PLCs, automation, robotics, or process controls. Proficiency with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office. Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills. Preferred Familiarity with ISA-95 standards, machine commissioning, and HMI integration. Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies. Willingness to travel between nearby NC sites as needed (typically Tekberry Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
