HR Shared Services Specialist A large enterprise organization is seeking an HR Shared Services Specialist to support payroll and HR operations within a fast-paced shared services environment. This role will focus on responding to employee and field manager inquiries, processing payroll-related requests, and ensuring accurate documentation within internal systems. The ideal candidate is customer-service focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with multiple HR and payroll systems while managing a high volume of requests. Job Summary The HR Shared Services Specialist will support payroll operations by managing service requests, assisting with payroll transactions, and helping resolve inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders. This role will also assist with documenting processes, identifying operational improvements, and supporting payroll-related systems. Key Responsibilities Create and manage service requests/work orders while accurately capturing structured data for tracking, reporting, and audit purposes. Respond to payroll and HR-related inquiries from field managers and internal teams, taking full ownership of issue resolution. Support inbound calls during high-volume periods according to established procedures and service standards. Process payroll-related requests, including off-cycle checks and corrections identified through internal audits. Monitor trends in work orders and identify potential operational issues or inefficiencies. Document existing processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Provide support for payroll and HR systems, including assisting with troubleshooting and identifying opportunities for system improvements. Process and respond to payroll-related emails according to established procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects involving multiple departments. Assist with testing, documentation, and training related to process updates or improvements. Perform additional team-specific tasks as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required 1+ year of customer service experience in a call center, HR shared services, or high-volume service environment. Experience working with a ticket or case management system preferred. Previous experience supporting employees or internal clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to identify issues and recommend solutions. Payroll processing knowledge preferred. Experience with SAP or other HR/payroll systems is a plus.
