**Employment Type:** Full time **Shift:** Day Shift **Description:** **Insurance Verification Representative - Eddy VNRA - FT Days** Insurance Verification Representative Eddy Visiting Nurse & Rehab Association Location: 433 River Street, Troy, NY 12180 Status: Full-Time - Regular Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM - Days Mon. - Fri. **Position Summary:** Eddy Visiting Nurse & Rehab Association is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Verification Representative to support our home care and hospice service lines. This role ensures timely and accurate verification of insurance benefits for new and existing patients, helping to facilitate smooth and efficient patient onboarding, billing and collection. **Key Responsibilities** - Monitor new patient referrals daily to verify eligibility for home care and hospice services. - Identify and document insurance co payments, deductibles, visit limits, and authorization requirements. - Review and process accounts across multiple work queues, ensuring insurance coverage information remains accurate and current. - Process changes to primary insurance coverage promptly. - Investigate alternative insurance options when necessary. - Respond quickly and professionally to phone calls and emails related to insurance coverage. - Collaborate with fellow insurance and authorization representatives to ensure timely and accurate completion of all work. - Research insurance-related questions, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to workflows or processes as needed. Qualifications & Skills - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. - Excellent customer service and communication abilities. - Ability to problem-solve and research insurance requirements effectively. - Comfort working in a fast-paced team environment. - Experience with insurance verification or healthcare billing is preferred but not required. Requirements: + Ideal candidate should be very organized, patient, flexible and able to adapt well to changes. + Previous home care authorization, insurance verification, and billing experience is helpful or 2-3 years in a health care environment. + High School Diploma required. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
